Why do we usually

end up all alone,

is it something we can control

or is it divine intervention

I have taught many times

sharing experience

guiding and showing the way

Each time the learner

has grown her own wings

and flow swiftly away

to enjoy brighter pastures

Why do usually

end up all alone

can we change the pattern

or is it written in the stars

I have learned from others

embraced their teachings

going on to surpass their skills

becoming the master

Each time the teacher

has exited my life

leaving me to continue

my learning alone

Why do we usually

end up all alone

Is it a factor of life

for every student that excels

Our children grow up

moving away from us

as soon as they can crawl

becoming independent

striving towards

a life of their own

to repeat the cycle

of giving and teaching

until it is their time

to be left all alone.

Why do we usually

end up all alone

should we avoid it

or is it the cycle of life
